Above the tree: snippet art

In this period of return to the medieval systems of music divulgation, walk out on Internet and you will realize that musicians have no alternative but to take their art in public squares, like it used to happen with the storytellers.
It's only the most flashy and superficial part of music production that collapsed, the part that enjoyed the front pages of newspapers and the national broadcasting, the part destined to produce a lot of money.
Now those profits are no more easily reached and “sound culture” has been declared to be finished, leaving to supermarkets the disgusting task of entertaining customers with Sanremo Festival's hits. This is partly a good thing, because that is the right place for the commercial music (I mean that rubbish destined to masses), together with business and overspent money.
On the other side there is the no-compromise art.

--- fine home page ---

Here we are, with Above the tree, focus of our talk. “Blue revenge” makes you thunderstruck, it's the decisive evidence that things are moving in the above-mentioned direction. Discovering and publishing such an album tastes like revenge and has the colour of victory.
The kind of research of this artist agrees exactly with Anomolo's direction on its own next production, based on a different conception of artistic experimentation.
In Above the tree's music there aren’t exhausting searches for cool sounds, formal balance, symmetrical and graceful harmonies, but rusted metal pieces crawling over snippets of glass and sand, motors on the blink lamenting signs of old-age and slurring songs choked on cough.
Nevertheless, not even a little piece of these sound splinters seems to have been built on such basis: songs (surely not a suitable term in this case) need to be listened repeatedly, because their overall language (you can believe it or not) is a magic and powerful emotional catalyst able to lead your senses to bizarre dimensions. That's an happy point in our search.
That said, I let you have your say in the comments below.
